FAQ

Ordering process:

Made-to-order & handcrafted specially for you right here in my atelier in the USA.
In an effort to reduce turnaround times & work in a more organized manner, I like to implement an ordering schedule:

〰️ The first week of the month is considered "Order Week".

〰️ My books will be open until the 7th of every month, unless I reach capacity first, in which case ordering will close early.

〰️ Turnaround time for shoes is 4-6 weeks. (*times may vary depending on current workload)

Using this order schedule allows me to go into production for the rest of the month and work in batches, which helps me more effectively stick to the turnaround times.
*(order week schedule applies from Jan-Oct., Nov & Dec ordering times vary.)

Returns

I understand that fit varies from person to person, so if your shoes don't fit you may return them within 14 days of receipt. All items must be in their original condition and packaging in order to be eligible for a return, refund, credit or exchange.

Return shipment costs are at the expense of the client.

Please try the shoes on carefully, ideally on a rug or carpeted floors to ensure soles remain intact.

Additionally, kindly consider that each pair is entirely handmade and many hours go into the process of each shoe, please do not order multiples simply to try them on. If you need help with sizing, email: info@vickydincecco.com

〰️ The item must be returned in its original packaging, with all care taken to protect the item for its return journey.

Following an inspection of the item to ensure all criteria are met, refunds will be issued within 7 working days of receipt of your return. Refunds will exclude any applicable shipping costs, taxes and/or import duties incurred. Refunds will be issued to the card you originally used to make your purchase. When returning, it is recommend that you ensure the package is tracked and insured to an appropriate value as we cannot refund or exchange on lost packages. Lost packages must be tracked and claimed by you through your chosen courier or postage service.

If you request an exchange we will email you on receipt of your return parcel with confirmation of your credit amount or begin production on your new item.

Materials & Care

Your shoes were handcrafted using natural materials, the finished product may have slight variances in color or appearance which is normal and adds to the beauty & uniqueness of the shoes.

Leather Care: Use a boar bristle brush to remove dust and dirt, and occassionally apply a leather conditioner to keep the leather hydrated.

Soles: You can prevent any initial damage by taking your shoes to your local cobbler to apply a protective sole. Otherwise, when you notice the leather begin to thin or the brass nails begin to poke out, it's advisable to visit your local cobbler for shoe resoling to prolong the lifespan of your shoes.

Heels: if the toplift (piece at the bottom of the heel that meets the floor) begins to wear down considerably, it is best to take them to your local cobbler to be replaced BEFORE the bottom of the heel becomes exposed to wear and damage.

Lastly, avoid harsh elements & wetting or submerging in water. Leather is a very resilient material but if shoes get wet they will lose their shape.

Do you offer custom orders?

Unfortunately, I have moved away from custom or bespoke orders. If you have a small change you'd like to request, based on any current styles available on my site, I may be able to make slight adjustments.

Who makes the shoes/bags?

All of my products are either artisanally crafted by me in my studio —using elements produced in Italy— or in the case of small-batch productions they're crafted by Italian artisans.
